Inspiration and Creativity

I enjoy reading about creativity and hearing other peoples perspectives. This manifesto from Afro Dj Mac is brilliant and aligns well with my own ideas and experiences. Check it out here The Origins of Inspiration (Also worth exploring the rest of the site, as they have some great stuff)

Just a quick thought on creativity/inspiration etc: I recently read a nice way to look at inspiration/motivation. Normally you see it like this:

inspiration -> motivation -> action.

But the action you take can lead to further inspiration and motivation, so if you turn it around and start with action you will also get inspiration and motivation!

So it can be seen as an endless LOOP ;D Great for music-producers (and we met at Loop in the pathways around Funkhouse Berlin, missing the boat to cross the river, so I thought I'd mention it - almost never comment otherwise:)

action -> inspiration -> motivation -> action etc

The concept isn't mindblowingly new but works. Itt can be used on old sketches even: if you have an old sketch that may as well be deleted, you can start working on it instead, delete some tracks etc and suddenly you're back into flow with motivation for that track.

I bet the missing article had some similar thoughts on creativity D:
